NORTHERN NIGHTS MUSIC FESTIVAL
About This Project
In July 2015 I was asked to join the Northern Nights production team as a Marketing Assistant. I proved my abilities in both Marketing and Design, and was able to make such an impact during my one month assignment that I was asked back for the entire festival season of 2016 as their official Marketing and Social Media Manger. In this role I worked with the event producers to define the overall Marketing strategy and brought on an intern halfway through who I coached throughout the process on Social Media copywriting, posting and scheduling. The marketing and promotional efforts I led resulted in sold out events for both 2015 and 2016 festival years.
Below is a small selection of posts for Northern Nights on their top 3 social channels. These posts range from their 2015 - 2016 events. For each of these posts I wrote the copy, curated articles, worked with media contacts to gather video and photo content, and in some cases utilized my own photography and graphics.

Below are a few examples of Instagram contests I crafted to stir up excitement and engagement leading up to and during event dates. I led the strategy, design, execution and management of all social contest elements shown below. I also developed a system using IFTT to compile submissions in a live google sheet to ensure all criteria were met before a winner was chosen. The #ShareTheAdventure contest was even printed in the 2016 festival booklet which was given as a physical copy to all ticket holders.
SNAPCHAT GEO FILTERS
I proposed the concept of an AR lens to senior event leadership team, and was approved for event's first ever filters.
Managed project and oversaw marketing and design team from idea to execution.
As part of the role involved PR, I secured, wrote, and designed layout for advertorials about the upcoming 2016 event, which were published in The Emerald Magazine and The Lost Coast Outpost.
